As an NGO, we rely on volunteers, donations, and contributions to achieve our mission. Want to make a difference with us? You can join our organization as a volunteer.
We offer a one-day program for tourists who want a local and sustainable experience during their trip, but we're also interested in long-term volunteers who can contribute new skills and support our team. The minimum duration for a long-term volunteer is three months.

The Valle Sagrado Verde environmental volunteer program offers a participatory experience focused on ecological restoration and fire prevention through practical activities such as ecological pruning and regeneration monitoring. Through a transparent financial contribution, the program supports both the community brigades that carry out fieldwork and the sustainability of the VSV program, strengthening its work in conservation, environmental education, and support for Andean communities.

We're looking for long-term volunteers. Will you help us increase our impact?
At Valle Sagrado Verde, we are open to long-term volunteers. You can be part of our team with a minimum commitment of two days a week, for a minimum period of three months.
Please write us a letter introducing yourself and why you believe you can add value to our team. Please also indicate the length of your collaboration and the workload you are considering.
We're especially interested in learning about your academic background, work experience, and skills. It's important that you feel comfortable communicating and writing in Spanish or English. Fluency in both languages is a plus.
The Story of Volunteer Joris.
For six months, I was part of the Valle Sagrado Verde team. An adventure I'll never forget. After ten years of work experience in the Netherlands as a designer and entrepreneur working on projects focused on sustainability, I felt it was time to take a break and seek new inspiration. I wanted to contribute to sustainable development abroad, in a different cultural context.
At Valle Sagrado Verde, my love for nature, my work for sustainability, and my wish of living in an inspiring environment came together in a wonderful way. With only a few words of Spanish in my vocabulary, I began my collaboration with the NGO in February 2025. From the very beginning, I was warmly welcomed and given the confidence to get involved in key issues within the organization.
It was very inspiring to see how a small, young, and committed team manages to achieve such a vast reach. They have a beautiful mission, strengthened by their collaborative work with local communities. During my stay, I was able to put many of my personal skills to work supporting the organization: from photography to graphic design, from project management to physical work in the mountains with the communities. I worked three to four times a week for the organization, and I also took the time to explore Peruvian life and discover special places in the surrounding area. The team always gave me lots of advice, and we sometimes went exploring together.
It was a wonderful and very enriching experience.
