About

Us

Our story begins in 2020.

Valle Sagrado Verde was born because we are aware of the damage we have caused to the ecosystem of the area. Reforestation is a first step in giving back to the hundreds of species that have called this valley home for millennia. We started by reforesting a slope of the Vilcanota river in the Ollantaytambo district, our goal is to achieve the same in all of the communities of the Sacred Valley from La Raya to the Pongo de Mainique. After witnessing numerous seedlings burned during a forest fire two years after planting, we decided to expand our activities. Since 2022, in addition to reforestation, we have also been involved in forest fire prevention and the natural regeneration of existing nature. These three activities, combined with our community-based approach, allow us to make an important contribution to the local nature.  We work to restore natural spaces: a debt humanity owes to the world. For the love of Mother Earth, we commit ourselves daily to thousands of ecosystems, one planet!
